One of the widest, most traveled paths in our society is
the healing journey known as the Twelve Steps. Millions of people world wide
follow the 12 steps as their spiritual path.
Rev. Lucille Rosen has led 12 step retreats and lectured on this topic
for many years. Through this series of
five evenings, Lucille will take participants deeply into these steps using an
ancient Hebraic system of study known as “Pilpul” (a process of penetrating investigation,
disputation, and drawing of conclusions).
Delving deeply into this material, each person will find their
personal guideposts towards uncovering and discovering how to live a
spiritual life.
This course is essential for :
- Minister’s,
Social Workers, Counselors – statistics indicate 85% of clients face
some kind of addiction issue personally, or in the family, work place or
friendship. A basic understanding
of Twelve Step spirituality is essential to a thriving practice.
- People
in Recovery--This course will deepen and enrich the spiritual journey of
healing and facilitate greater understanding of how to apply these step
to life.
- All
Spiritual Seekers – This clearly outlined program holds possibilities
for all spiritual seekers.
Rev. Lucille Rosen is a certified social worker and
psychodrama therapist. She has an active psychotherapy practice and has done extensive
work with both addictions and family dynamics. Lucille was a faculty member at The New
Seminary, lecturing on alcoholism, Twelve-Step spirituality and professional
ethics in the practice of ministry. For the last seven years she collaborated with Rev. Joyce Liechenstein to
develop and teach post-ordination courses in Basic and Advanced Spiritual
Counseling. Lucille has served as adjunct faculty at the Fordham University
School of Social Work, and is the founder of A Safe Place, an Interfaith worship community on Long Island.
